Help with ranking, focus, accounts, billing, imports, and privacy.
How does the ranking work?
Darwin shows you two tasks at a time. Swipe to pick the one that matters more right now. Each choice updates a ranking model, so your list gets clearer without manually dragging tasks into order.
What do the different swipe directions mean?
Swipe left or right to pick a winner between the two cards. Swipe up to promote a task (it stays, the other is replaced). Swipe down to demote a task (it leaves, the other stays). Each direction triggers a different animation and rating update.
How many comparisons do I need?
There is no fixed number. A few swipes can surface a useful next task, and more comparisons make the ranking more stable. Darwin shows confidence and cleanup signals when the list needs more input.
Can I import my existing tasks?
Yes. Darwin can import tasks from iOS Reminders when you grant permission, and it can import CSV files for larger resets. Imported tasks are editable before or after they enter your list.
What are Goals?
Goals let you group related tasks together with an emoji icon and color. You can rank tasks within a single goal or across all goals at once. Track your completion progress for each goal.
What is Focus Mode?
Focus helps you start from the highest-ranked work, set a timer, and plan follow-through around the tasks that earned their spot through your choices.
Can Darwin use my calendar?
Google Calendar sync is optional. If you connect it, Darwin writes and updates Darwin-owned planned blocks only. Task titles may appear in the calendar events it creates.
How do I sign in?
You can sign in with Google, Apple, or a passwordless email link. Your data syncs across devices automatically once you're signed in.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. Your tasks, rankings, and goals are synced to the cloud via your account. If you sign in on a new device, everything will be there.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete individual tasks or goals at any time, clear app data, or delete your account and associated synced data from Settings.
Does the app work offline?
Darwin requires an internet connection for sign-in and syncing. Once your data is loaded, many features work while offline, and changes sync when you reconnect.
How do Darwin Pro purchases work?
Darwin Pro purchases and renewals are handled by the App Store through RevenueCat. You can manage, cancel, or restore subscriptions through your App Store account and Darwin's in-app restore flow.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. If something looks wrong in Darwin after a purchase or restore, contact support and include the approximate purchase time and the product you selected.
Does Darwin sell my data or show ads?
No. Darwin does not sell personal data, serve ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
What happens with voice capture?
Voice capture uses on-device speech recognition when available. Audio is not sent to Darwin servers for transcription; the transcript becomes task text only when you choose to save it.
